No, I mean she's actually evil. Not just high school evil.

Well, Amanda Seyfried would be the one to know, wouldn't she? After all, as a full fledged member of The Plastics (the one who was convinced that her breasts could predict the weather) she certainly brought the uber-evil to high school. But apparently this time around, Amanda is playing the good girl. Who just so happens to share a girl-on-girl kiss with her actually-evil-not-just-high-school-evil-BFF-Jennifer to save her small town...or something like that.

I don't really get the point of Jennifer's Body aside from the fact that it's the latest creation from Diablo Cody, Academy Award winner for her Juno screenplay. I guess that is supposed to be reason enough for everyone to be excited about it. I think it's really just... An amusing concept that once again takes a look at the perils of high school and twists them into a horror movie. With really hot girls. That kiss.

They also have a promotional poster that is definitely bordering on copyright infringement due to its serious resemblance to the True Blood poster.

I have to admit, though, there are some pretty funny lines in the trailers I've seen.

Needy: "You're killing people??"

Jennifer: "No. I'm killing boys."

Come on. That is freakin' great. But I'm concerned that they may have used up all the good moments for those clips, and there might not be anything else to do during the rest of the movie except watch Megan Fox act.

Now... I'm not going to judge her. I actually kinda like Megan Fox. I can't say a word about her acting skills because Transformers isn't exactly a testament to anyone's acting skills, but I can say with certainty that the girls knows how to look good. I know a lot of people think she's crazy or vapid or just stupid, but I kind of like the fact that she has no filter in interviews. I think she speaks her mind and tells it like it is (however ridiculous it may sound) and if she's not afraid to look ridiculous and crazy then all the more power to her. Do I agree with most of the stuff she says? Definitely not. The girl is kinda nutso. Do I think she's one of the most beautiful girls out there? Yes, I really do.

Just look at her from the premiere of Jennifer's Body at the Toronto Film Festival.

I think she looks stunning in that gorgeous Valentino dress and ankle-strap Louboutins (hellooooo legs that go on for days - unfair!). The glamorous old-Hollywood hair, glowing skin, and smokey/shimmery eyes look amazing. Actually, I think she consistently looks lovely and I'm definitely harboring a little bit of a girl-crush on her.

Betty & Peggy & Joan... Oh my!!

Let me start by saying that my love for AMC's critically acclaimed series "Mad Men" knows no bounds.

The 1960's era drama is effortlessly cool (the wardrobes are to die for!) , deliciously inappropriate (smoking and drinking is involved in just about every scene and pregnant girls are definitely not excluded from the fun), and it's twisted, tortured, and philandering protagonist gives me butterflies that have previously been achieved only in the presence of limited edition Chanel.

The storylines are innovative, the writing is thoughtful and intriguing, the acting is top notch, and the styling is perfection.

Let me repeat: the styling is perfection.



Slicked-back hair and skinny ties for the handsome gents aside, I find myself constantly drooling over the ladies and their various ensembles, straight-out-of-the-beauty-parlor-hair-do's, and iconic makeup.

My Girl-Crush #1: Betty Draper (played by January Jones)

Is she channeling Grace Kelly, or what? The 3rd season just started and I have yet to see Betty in an outfit that wasn't beautiful and flattering. Nobody can rock a string of pearls like she can. I'm not sure I've ever wished I could be a blonde more.

My Girl-Crush #2: Joan Holloway (played by Christina Hendricks)

Two words: Jessica. Rabbit. These photos don't even do her justice. She's literally drool-worthy. She is the the perfect example of a fabulous (non-size-two) hourglass figure and it makes me deliriously happy to see a woman who looks real and works it to the fullest.

Not to mention that her cat eyes and candy-apple-red lips have kept me practicing my liquid liner skills in front of the mirror for hours.

And last, but most definitely not least...

My Girl-Crush #3: Peggy Olson (Played by Elisabeth Moss)



Less sex-bomb and more librarian, Peggy is the girl I feel closest to. She's a little shy and unsure of herself and a little intimidated by working in what is still very much a man's world in the early 60's. She's just as smart as (arguably smarter than most) the men surrounding her and she's slowly starting to come around with her looks. How gorgeous is the detail on that black and white dress above? Timid and shy - maybe. Slightly behind the trends that Betty and Joan are sporting - definitely. But she still always looks great.

So, that's my salute to this outstanding show and it's amazing style. My hat is off to costume designer Janie Bryant and her team for a job magnificently well done.
